I made the Classic Sweater and Hanki Snood about six months apart hence the hair change. I used WAK Petite Wool in natural for both projects. Here’s the good:
- Classic design. Both of these will be worn until they fall apart.
- Quality yarn. It’s sooo soft. It’s a single ply, so I’ll keep you posted on longevity, but so far so good! No pilling.
- Quantity of yarn! I had enough leftover from each project to make a hat or two!
Now for the bad:
- Just instructions. That’s it. For the cowl they suggested ‘zig zagging’ the ends together. Luckily I’m aware that the kitchener stitch exists, but those instructions are unfortunate for beginners who are going to end up with a messy back seam. They also have some questionable suggestions if you’re off gauge.
- Oh wait, and the needles. I may be bias because I cannot knit with straights, but they seemed awkward and extra pointy. I used my own circulars.
All in all, highly recommend. I have a friend who hasn’t been stoked on their cotton projects, but I’m giving two thumbs up to the wool ones. Just keep a knitting reference book handy.
